Marc Bertram of SF Brown Real Estate and
David Oberstein confirmed last week that they had purchased a building at 2710 Sawmill Road, Santa Fe, for $2.2 million.
The 38,000-square-foot building is occupied by ABC Supply Co. Inc.
"We continue to see great opportunities in this market as well as [in] Albuquerque," Bertram said in an email. "I believe we have seen the bottom in commercial real estate in New Mexico, and we are looking at further acquisitions in both cities."
Bertram added: "A combination of good values and historically low interest rates make this an excellent time to move back into commercial real estate."

Three different Santa Fe book clubs have chosen the same novel for their May reading selection —
The Origin of Sorrow by Robert Mayer.
The local author, who will join in club discussions of the historical novel, says he did not solicit the selections. "The book is just getting wonderful word of mouth," he said.
Under his other cap, that of writing instructor, Mayer is seeking participants for his May-June writing workshop. The weekly three-hour sessions begin May 15. The fee for seven weeks is $285 plus tax. For more information, visit www.writers-workshop.net or call 438-0012.
