Thanksgiving Day closings

Hours of operation at many offices and institutions will be affected by the Thanksgiving holiday.

• All nonemergency state, city and county government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• Santa Fe Public Schools will be closed Wednesday through Friday, Nov. 21-23, and so will most other educational facilities, including charter schools, private schools, the Santa Fe Community College and Santa Fe University of Art and Design.

• Rail Runner Express passenger trains won’t run Thanksgiving Day. However, they will operate on a Saturday schedule on Friday instead of the normal weekday schedule.

• The regional Blue Buses operated by the North Central Regional Transit District will not be in service Thursday or Friday.

• State museums will be closed Thursday but will reopen Friday.

• Post offices will be closed Thursday, and regular mail service will be suspended.

• Offices of most financial institutions will be closed Thursday.

• The Buckman Road Recycling & Transfer Station and Caja del Rio Landfill are closed Thanksgiving Day. Both sites will reopen Friday with normal business hours.
