Santa Fe County is hosting two free energy efficiency forums, May 3 and May 7 at the County Commission Chambers, 102 Grant Ave.

The forums start at 6 p.m.

The forums cover differences in renewable energy types from solar hot water to ground-source heat pumps, tax incentives and financing options.

Thursday's forum focuses on available energy efficiency and renewable energy financial incentives for residential properties. The May 7 forum explores renewable energy options for commercial businesses, including presentations from Public Service Company of New Mexico.

Residents and business owners from the county, including Santa Fe, Española and Edgewood, are invited to attend.

"There are a multitude of federal, state, and utility incentives available to homeowners and businesses to install cost-effective renewable energy and energy efficiency measures," said Craig O'Hare, Energy Programs Specialist for the County.
