The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:
• A man reported that someone entered his unlocked rental vehicle, parked in the La Fonda Hotel parking lot, on Wednesday night and took a briefcase, a U.S. passport and a Dell laptop.
• An unidentified man hit a woman with a brick around midnight Friday outside a business at 3000 Cerrillos Road. No suspect was found, and the victim was treated and released at the scene by the Santa Fe Fire Department.
• Melody Apodaca, 21, of 4444 Paseo del Sol, was arrested at her home Friday evening on charges of aggravated assault on a household member and use of a telephone to terrify her victim. Apodaca did strike at the male victim with an open-blade knife, the police report indicates.
• Adrianna Sena, 601 W. San Mateo, was arrested on charges of unlawfully taking a motor vehicle, burglary and larceny. Sena was arrested around 1 a.m. Saturday off Camino Jacobo after police responded to a call regarding a stolen 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Police found the car an hour later and arrested Sena. The vehicle's stereo was already missing by then.
• A man reported Saturday morning that someone had broken into his business, located in the 2800 block of Industrial Road, on Friday night. The report does not specify if any items were taken.
• A Santa Fe man reported Friday night that his 1994 black Ford Ranger had not been returned by his cousin at the agreed time.
• Police responded to a call and found a California man had sustained a cut to his right arm after he and another male had been involved in a physical altercation with unknown persons. The incident happened around 2 p.m. Saturday near Galisteo Street and St. Francis Drive.
The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:
• A green Mikita cordless power drill was stolen from a home in the 1200 block of Morning Drive sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 11 p.m. Friday. The burglar entered the home through a window, the reports says.
• Leslie Gallegos, 40, of Española was arrested Friday on charges of battery on a household member and criminal damage to property. Gallegos was arrested at a home off N.M. 503 in the Pojoaque area after she allegedly scratched and hit her boyfriend various times. Gallegos also scratched her boyfriend's 2006 Cadillac, according to the report.
• On Saturday, someone broke the passenger-side window of a truck, parked in the 6300 block of Maple Street (in the Cottonwood Mobile Home Park), but didn't take anything.
DWI arrests
• Alicia Romero, 31 of Santa Fe was arrested Friday on charges of possession of a controlled substance, DWI, driving on a suspended driver's license and failing to maintain her lane. Romero was stopped by a Santa Fe County sheriff's officer on Cerrillos Road for failing to maintain her lane on the roadway. Once the DWI investigation started, the report said, a sheriff's officer found Xanax pills without a prescription.
• George H. Culver, 57, of Santa Fe was arrested on charges of aggravated DWI and careless driving. Culver lost control of his 2005 black BMW X3 while driving northbound on U.S. 84/285 in the Tesuque area and hit a metal street sign and a concrete retaining wall. Culver fled the scene, but was found nearby. Breathalyzer tests registered blood alcohol levels of 0.18 and 0.19.
