Yet another winter storm has halted athletic events in Northern New Mexico Wednesday.

Snow forced the cancellation of all athletic events, including a District 2AAAA boys basketball game between Los Alamos and Capital. A make-up date has yet to be determined.

All District 2AAA games will not be played. The girls basketball games between Pojoaque Valley and St. Michael’s, West Las Vegas and Las Vegas Robertson and Raton will be made up at a later date. Santa Fe Indian School already scheduled Feb. 20 as the home date for its boys/girls varsity doubleheader with Raton.

This makes the fourth snowstorm in the past two weeks that has affected athletic events in the area.

The National Weather Service was expecting snow to continue to fall through the night, with a 20 percent chance of snowfall today.
