From The Santa Fe New Mexican:
Dec. 15, 1912: There seems to be the wrong impression in Santa Fe about the California Limited, says Chairman Hugh Williams of the Corporation Commission. Train No. 3 will take passengers to the west as heretofore. It is on the No. 4, going east, that the change has been made, requiring reservations to be made in Los Angeles if one is to get on at Lamy going east, or requiring a trip to Albuquerque if one does not make reservations in Los Angeles.
Dec. 15, 1987: After exhausting court appeals on a conviction of art fraud, Herta Wittgenstein was arrested Monday to begin serving a prison sentence. She will be sent to the Western New Mexico Correctional Facility in Grants. Wittgenstein pleaded guilty in January to charges she sold bronze sculptures that she claimed were reproductions authorized by Georgia O’Keeffe.
