The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:
• A thief took a water heater from a house in the 1300 block of Maez Road and drove away in a blue Ford pickup at around 9:08 a.m. Tuesday.
• A 1995 blue Plymouth sedan was stolen from the 2800 block of Cerrillos Road between 12:30 and 1 a.m. Tuesday.
• A burglar broke a window and entered a house in the 4300 block of Calle Andrew and stole perfume and other items between 6:30 p.m. Monday and 7:45 a.m. Tuesday.
• A license plate was stolen from a car parked at Meineke Car Care Center, 4420 Rodeo Road, between 11:30 a.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
• A manager admitted to embezzling thousands of dollars from the Conoco Quick Stop, 2774 Sawmill Road, between 12:30 p.m. Monday and 3:16 Tuesday.
• Manuel Torres, 29, 1556 Mori Lane, was arrested and charged with driving on a revoked license and possession of drug paraphernalia at around 2:40 p.m. Tuesday.
• Someone broke into a 2005 Toyota Prius in the 100 block of East Booth Road and stole a purse at around 6 p.m. Monday.
• A man who grabbed a nurse by the wrist and bit her index finger at Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center at around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday was charged with battery upon health care personnel.
Speed SUVs
• The Santa Fe Police Department listed the following locations for mobile speed-enforcement vehicles: SUV No. 1 at Nava Elementary School from 7:25 to 8:15 a.m. and 2:10 to 2:55 p.m. and on Siringo Road at Calle de Sueños at other times; SUV No. 2 at Galisteo at West Alicante.
