The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:
• Sometime between Wednesday and Friday, burglars entered a house in the 2100 block of Manuel Medrano Road and stole several items. No further details were given.
• A thief swiped a purse from a 1989 BMW parked in the 600 block of W. San Franciso Street sometime between midnight and 2 a.m. Thursday. There was no forced entry or damage to the vehicle.
• Sometime between 8 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. Thursday, burglars broke in through a sliding glass door at the rear of a house in the 100 block of Camino Redondo and stole $3,555 in property and cash, including two Dell laptop computers, two Wii games and numchucks for the Wiis.
• On Thursday, a black HP Pavilion laptop computer valued at $1,000 disappeared from the back seat of an unlocked jeep parked in the 4500 block of Arroyo Sonrisa.
• Early Saturday morning, someone shattered a window in the front door of a business in the 100 block of Guadalupe Street, entered the premises and stole a computer monitor and cash. The suspects left via the back door when the alarm went off.
• Two males approached a man sitting in the driver's seat of his car in the 400 block of Guadalupe Street about 2 a.m. Saturday and began punching him through the car windows. The two men dragged the driver from the car and stole his vehicle, which was recovered shortly thereafter at the corner of Guadalupe and DeVargas streets.
The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:
• Someone entered through the unlocked window of an Airport Road home and stole a laptop computer, an Xbox game console and a paintball gun.
• A burglar broke through a glass door at a Via del Vaquero residence in San Marcos and stole two flat-screen television sets.
• Sometime between 11 a.m. Wednesday and 8:45 p.m. Friday, burglars broke a window to gain entry to a Calle Seco residence in Arroyo Seco and stole two TVs, a .30-06-caliber rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun, jewelry and $80 in cash.
DWI arrest
• John S. Rivera, 63, of Alamo Road in Santa Fe was arrested around 12:05 a.m. Saturday morning on charges of driving while under the influence and careless driving after he rear-ended another vehicle near the intersection of St. Francis Drive and Cerrillos Road. His 1994 Ford was impounded.
