The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:
  • A report said a manager at the Cowgirl BBQ restaurant, 319 S. Guadalupe St., issued $1,250 worth of checks to bands that never played at the establishment between April 27 and Jan. 26.
  • A man sitting in a car at the Target parking lot, 3550 Zafarano Drive, masturbated in front of a local 30-year-old woman. The man was in a 1994 Honda Accord with a New Mexico license plate number that was registered to an Alamogordo man, a police report said.
  • A 2008 Ford Focus that was loaned out from Don Chalmers Ford, 4490 Cerrillos Road, on Sept. 2 has not been returned.
  • A water heater valued at $1,100 was stolen Tuesday or Wednesday from a residence under construction in the 4200 block of Luz del Sol.
  • A Santa Fe man was found dead Tuesday or Wednesday at a home in the 1800 block of Hopewell Street.
  • After a traffic stop involving a 2004 Chrysler Sebring in the 6400 block of Cerros Grandes Drive on Thursday, officers found several electronic items later determined to have been stolen. Two juvenile males and two adult males were arrested. None were identified in a police report.
  • A Santa Fe man was found dead Wednesday at his residence in the 900 block of Mercer Street.
  • A television, a video game system and games were stolen Wednesday from a home in the 300 block of Romero Street after a window was broken to gain entrance.
The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following report:
  • Deputies arrested five juvenile males Thursday after a woman saw them inside her home in the 6100 block of Airport Road. All five were booked into the Santa Fe County juvenile jail.
DWI arrest
  • Deputies arrested Thomas Martinez, 39, 14 N. Horizon Lane, on Thursday and charged him with felony driving while intoxicated, having an open container of alcohol in his car, driving with a suspended or revoked license, running a stop sign and no insurance. Martinez has been charged with DWI three previous times. Also arrested was Dana Itule, 24, 3540 Jon Kim Lane, who was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Speed SUV

Today's location of the Santa Fe Police Department's mobile speed enforcement vehicle:
  • From 7:25 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. and 2:10 p.m. to 2:55 p.m.: César Chávez Elementary School. When not parked at the school, the vehicle will be on westbound Airport Road and Fields Lane.
