The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:
  • A juvenile employee of Rainbow Bridge, 2913 Calle Princess Juana, is suspected of printing and forging the owner's signature on two checks of undisclosed amounts and cashing them. The incidents occurred between Feb. 26 and Wednesday.
  • A residence in the 1200 block of Gallegos Lane appeared to have been burglarized Friday.
  • A laptop was stolen late Friday or early Saturday from a Jeep parked in the 300 block of West DeVargas Street.
  • Renee Saavedra, 24, of Albuquerque was arrested Friday on charges of battery on a household member.
  • A car stereo was stolen late Friday from a 1986 Camry parked in the 300 block of Old Santa Fe Trail.
  • Four vehicles parked at the Hotel Santa Fe, 1501 Paseo de Peralta, were broken into late Friday or early Saturday.
  • A 9 mm Glock carbine conversion, a .22 caliber pistol and a laptop computer were stolen recently from a 2004 Chevy camper pickup parked in the 1000 block of Paseo de la Cuma. A rear camper window and a front window had been broken to gain entry,
  • A 2004 Oldsmobile Alero was damaged by a thrown cinderblock when it was parked Saturday at Warren Inn, 3357 Cerrillos Road.
  • Police were investigating the death of a Santa Fe woman found dead early Sunday at a residence in the 2300 block of Cerrillos Road. She was found about 8:30 a.m. by a home health care provider. Cause of death had not been determined.
The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:
  • Shiree Romero, 18, no address given, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor Saturday after alcohol and marijuana were found in her vehicle after a traffic stop at Sunrise Road and Amber Lane. Two 14-year-old children were in the vehicle at the time.
  • Shots were fired into the air by a motorist who pulled up to the intersection of Rufina Street and South Meadows Road about 11:40 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle was a gold Ford Expedition with chrome rims. No one was injured.
  • A Toshiba laptop computer was stolen Saturday from a residence on Calle Nueva Vista. Entry was made through an unlocked window.
  • Tools were stolen Saturday during the burglary of a vehicle parked on Painted Pony Circle.

Today's location of the Santa Fe Police Department's mobile speed enforcement vehicle:
  • From 7:25 to 8:15 a.m. and 2:10 to 2:55 p.m., the vehicle will be parked at Gonzales Community School. When not parked at the school, the vehicle will be located on southbound St. Francis Driver at Vientor Drive.
DWI arrests
  • Police arrested Juan Lucero, 26, of Santa Fe on charges of aggravated driving under the influence and careless driving after a traffic stop Saturday at Cerrillos Road and Camino Entrada.
