The Santa Fe city Police Department is investigating the following reports:

• Sabryna Garcia, 2110 Rancho Siringo Road, was arrested at 2 p.m. Thursday on a warrant charging her with violations of her probation from convictions on eight charges of burglary and one of breaking and entering 10 years ago. She was arrested after police responded to a report of shoplifting at Walmart, 3251 Cerrillos Road.

• Two laptop computers were stolen from a residence in the 2000 block of Placita de Vida between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Thursday. The resident said when she returned home, she found the front door open. The door frame had been broken to gain entry.

• Robert McLain, 3257 Cerrillos Road, Apt. 303, was charged with two counts of battery, related to another resident in the same apartment complex, shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday.

• Thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and two Turkish rugs were stolen from a residence in the 1700 block of Agua Fría Road between 10:45 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday. There was no forced entry; the door was left unlocked.

• A man told police on Wednesday that someone used his personal information to file taxes on earned income in 2001. He found out about the identity theft when the Internal Revenue Service informed him he had a tax liability of $1,100.

• Someone in the 600 block of Salazar Street reported Thursday that a criminal sexual act with a child had occurred on Wednesday.

• Two laptop computers and an Xbox were stolen from a residence in the 3300 block of Camino Cielo Vista sometime before 3 p.m. Thursday.

• A purse, a laptop computer, a wallet and sunglasses were stolen from a residence in the 1300 block of Morelia Street sometime before 12:15 p.m. Thursday. A window screen was removed to gain access.

• An iPod was stolen from a 2006 Dodge parked at DeVargas Center, 600 N. Guadalupe St., around 8:45 a.m. Thursday. The driver's window was not closed.

• Someone stole two rims and tires from a 2005 Cadillac Escalade and scratched the car's paint while it was parked at 1299 Zepol Road between midnight Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

• Elefio "Larry" Salazar Jr., 1210 Rufina Lane, No. 10, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from 2008, charging him with receiving a stolen motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested Thursday after police responded to a report of shoplifting at Walmart.

• A Rolex watch and a man's bracelet on Thursday were reported stolen from a condominium in the 400 block of West San Francisco Street while a man from Hawaii was staying there, Aug. 22-29.

• A computer laptop and a digital camera were stolen from a rental in the 500 block of West San Francisco Street where a couple from Tacoma Park, Md., were staying on Thursday afternoon.

The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:

• Jewelry, electronics and cash were stolen from a residence on Calle Nueva Vista between Aug. 28 and Friday.

• Norbert Gonzales, 31, of Española, was arrested on a charge of possession of suspected cocaine after he was stopped for allegedly speeding at N.M. 599 and Camino de los Montoyas on Thursday.

DWI

• James Valdez, 1332 Camino Carlos Real, Apt. A, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest at 9:59 p.m. Thursday after he was stopped driving near his home, admitted ingesting an alcoholic beverage and oxycodone, police said, and then tried to flee from officers.
