Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society: Duke, a year-old pit-bull mix, looks forward to an active, outgoing family. He's a high-energy boy who would do best as an only child. Laid-back Han Solo is a cat young cat who enjoys a high perch, a good shaft of sunlight and a quiet house. He gets along well with other cats.

Felines & Friends New Mexico: Artie and his littermates were born in a shelter. He's a sweet, friendly kitten who loves to sit in laps and purr. Adrian, Artie's littermate, is a handsome boy with a long coat and dark-brown and gray tabby markings.
Cats of all ages are available for adoption from Felines & Friends and can be visited at Petco throughout the week during regular store hours. Adoption advisers are available 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Petco on Cerrillos Road.
