People from across Santa Fe have reached out to the Reyes Vasquez family. The family has set up a donation account with Guadalupe Credit Union on behalf of Yuliana Reyes Vasquez.
The Santa Fe Police Officers Association has made a donation to the fund, the St. Vincent Hospital Foundation is collecting donations, and local businesses have placed donation canisters near their cash registers.
Heath Concerts has decided that the March 5 Los Lonely Boys performance at Santa Fe Sol Stage & Grill, 37 Fire Place (formerly Santa Fe Brewing Co.), will be a benefit for the family.
This Sunday, Jan. 15, some community members have organized a food fundraiser event from 1 to 4 p.m. at Sweeney Elementary School, 501 Airport Road, to help several families in need, including the Reyes Vasquez family. Hamburgers and nachos will be sold, among other things.
