The Albuquerque Isotopes and Memphis Redbirds combined for five solo home runs on Tuesday at AutoZone Park. The ball-bludgeoning ended with the Redbirds on top 3-2 Pacific Coast League baseball game.
Isotopes starter John Ely retired nine batters in a row before giving up back-to-back blasts to Mark Hamilton and Zack Cox to open the seventh inning for a 3-2 lead for Memphis (29-51).
Homers by Matt Angle and Jerry Sands accounted for both of the runs for the Isotopes (46-34).
The teams play the third of four games on Thursday at 6:05 p.m.
