Daniel McCormick's putback of an Abel Knouse missed jumper with two seconds left in double overtime gave visiting Santa Fe Waldorf (8-5 overall) a dramatic 57-56 win over Vaughn (8-2) on Friday night.
McCormick finished with 17 points and 15 rebounds. He positioned himself in the lane as Knouse broke the Eagles' press and let fly with a 12-foot jumper against a double team with time winding down. McCormick grabbed the loose ball and provided the game-winner.
Elliot Radsliff had 17 points, Edgar Davila 10 and Josh Hagen nine. Hagen also grabbed 10 rebounds for Waldorf, which travels to Clovis Christian on Saturday.
McCormick's bucket was the only field goal for Waldorf in the second OT. The other five points came from the free-throw line.

In the Mini-Pit, the visiting Panthers (13-3) set the tone early with forced turnovers, then finished things off late by icing the nondistrict win at the free-throw line.
